As professional photographers, we feel honored to be part of many special events. Bar Mitzvah is one of those events. When Rachelle hired us to photograph Benjamin’s Bar Mitzvah, we were thrilled! Bar Mitzvah offers us opportunity to capture portraits, candids and event photos. We use our experience as portrait photographers as well as event photographers. We photographed rehearsal and portraits at the Beth Meyer Synagogue in Raleigh. Beth Meyer Synagogue is beautiful, with plenty of natural light. Tesh arrived on location 30 minutes prior to the rehearsal. Although it was a beautiful morning with the Sun shining, Tesh preferred to set up his own lighting for better control. The effort was worth it, as you would see from some of the dramatic images. Rabbi Eric Solomon was very helpful with the rehearsal photos. Tesh shot plenty of candid and detail shots. Tesh also captured many family portraits. Tesh especially enjoyed photographing Benjamin- a very nice and polite young man.
The reception is tomorrow at a downtown restaurant in Raleigh. Tesh plans to participate in a Plein Air painting competition in the morning, photograph the Bar Mitzvah party in the afternoon and then do a location photo shoot in the evening! Talk about a busy day!
