Janak’s Pre-Wedding Ceremony in Richmond, VA- by Raleigh NC Indian Wedding Photographer

Another fun event I photographed with my friend Prashant Shah of Prashant Video Productions! We drove to Richmond, night before the ceremony. We enjoyed the hospitality of our host: who can pass up the delicious Surati food?! There were two ceremonies next day. We started early in the morning at Janak’s home. We captured the first ceremony which included pithi, and was over by the lunch time. After the lunch, we drove to Cultural Center of India (CCI) to setup for the second ceremony. CCI is a big venue, which means you have to be careful with the lighting- no low white ceilings to bounce the lights off! We also did some portraits outside and it rained while we were shooting part of the ceremony outdoors! Janak had many family members and friends who had travelled to attend the ceremony.
