Tina and Divakar's Beautiful Wedding in Garner: wedding ceremony - by North Carolina Indian Wedding Photographer

The big day! The ceremony was held at Gradens and Hall at Landmark in Garner. This venue has a beautiful garden. So, the plan was to have an outdoor ceremony with garden as the backdrop. When I left home at 6:30 AM (I will be back home after mid-night!), it was raining. So Tina and her family decided to use a tent. Fortunately, the rain stopped at a later point and the tent kept the light almost constant against changing cloud cover.

I believe that good photography results from collaboration between photographer and client. So, I was happy to know that Tina and Divakar’s portrait session was on schedule. Since the Landmark hall is beautiful, I decided not to use the studio backdrop. I captured many portraits of the couple inside (it was still raining outside at that point).

After the portrait session, I photographed a little ceremony for Divakar, before the baraat. Divakar’s baraat took off in style, with Divakar riding on a white horse! DJ Hangama- Sohil and Vashishth led the baraat with music. Baraat was received outside the mandap with some more dancing!

The ceremony went on smoothly. Tina and Divakar made beautiful couple. I enjoyed capturing the ceremony, detail and candid images. The ceremony was followed by lunch. I did another portrait session in the garden and then it was the time for bride’s send-off. Indian weddings are emotional affair! There is much fun and tears during many wedding events. It is hard not to be teary eyed! After all, I am a father, husband, brother, son, uncle… Not a perfect one (far from perfect), but, easily moved by some of the events. Bride’s send-off (bidai) can make you cry.

It was time to head to the Grand Marquise Ballroom for reception! I made use of little break by setting up my lighting, and downloading ceremony images to my laptop. Also, it was time to recharge batteries- for me and my gear…
