This was a memorable wedding I photographed with Mica over the Memorial Day weekend! Intimate and beautiful. The venue was Cardinal Club in Downtown Raleigh, where we frequently photograph variety of events. This was a change from my long Indian weddings! I often work with Mica. Sometimes I am the lead photographer and she shoots the video and at other times we reverse the roles. And if the video is not part of our assignment, we work as each other’s assistant and second shooter.
The ballroom looked beautiful. Jennifer Stevens of Ambrosia Cake Creations had created a very elegant cake for this special occasion. I had photographed Jennifer’s creations earlier at ISES’s Geof Manthorne event at the Bay 7 in Durham NC. Simply stunning! We captured all the details. When the ceremony started, I photographed some of the images from the loft. The light from the big windows provided plenty of natural light and opportunity to create images with silhouettes.
The flowers were just amazing, and provided by Greg Kennedy, owner of Brides & Bouquets in Cary, NC. You can tell the care he has for his flowers and that he wanted to make Anne happy! She was really impressed and very happy!
After the ceremony, we captured formal group shots. And we used the beautiful club interior for Anne and Mark’s couple session. And then it was time for us to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend!
This week I will be working on Avni and Gurpawan’s Indian wedding images. Let’s just say that this was one of the longest wedding I have ever photographed! I started the day at 6 AM and finished at mid-night.
And this weekend we will be in Chesapeake VA to photograph Prutha and Veeral’s wedding. That is going to be another fun Indian wedding…
