Another fun event! The Sangeet was in the evening at Rakhee’s home in Chapel Hill. I had photographed the The Vidhi (or pre-wedding ceremony) in the morning. Prashant Shah captured the video of Sangeet. The evening started with the food (Taj Mahal catered) while everyone waited for the groom- Hiten and his family. Of course, Hiten arrived in style! Every bride and groom has a different personality. Hiten’s personality is fun and easy-going (he kindly invited a little girl, who was a curious bystander, to join the outdoor portrait session after the wedding ceremony!). After the meet and greet, I did a quick portrait session of this happy couple. And then there was more food! If you are from Mumbai (aka Bombay), Pani Puris will make you as happy as seeing an old friend! The guests had great time playing Antakshari, singing and dancing. Later, the bride, groom and both the families joined in. I photographed some of this fun and then it was time for me to head out. The wedding ceremony was next day. Unlike some of the weddings, the ceremony would start later in the day and there will be a little break before the reception would begin. Time to get ready to capture Rakhee and Hiten’s special day at the Durham Marriott City Center…
Stay tuned!
