We photographed Rohit and Meenakashi’s beautiful Indian engagement ceremony and reception during the labor day long weekend. We worked with Prashant Video Production for this event. This was a busy weekend for us! Earlier, I had photographed Rakhee and Hiten’s elaborate Indian wedding (3 days long)! I photographed the engagement ceremony in the morning while Mica photographed the engagement party (reception) in the evening. Both the events were at One Eleven Place (111 place) in Cary (NC).
The engagement ceremony started during the mid-morning. This was an intimate event with close family and friends. One Eleven Place was beautifully decorated by Usha Decor. I captured the ceremony and formal group images of family and friends. It was hot and bright outside. But, I took the opportunity for a quick portrait session under shade of the trees. It was almost noon- I was fortunate to find good light outdoors. Rohit and Meenakashi were easy to work with (both Ivy Leaguers). Then it was time for me to head over to the Hotel Indigo in Durham to photograph Lusally and Luan’s Chinese wedding. That was one of the most fun weddings I have ever photographed! Preview images of that wedding coming soon to our blog.
Mica photographed the evening reception. Mica arrived early to capture images of decorations and details. The reception started with the delicious food which was catered by Bombay Grill. The evening was full of fun and laughter! There were dance performances by family members as well as the Bhangra troupe. DJ Hangama (Sohil) had the guests dancing. Mica captured many candid and group images.
Congratulations to Rohit and Meenakashi!
