On Friday, Tesh and IWP Photographed a pre wedding Indian ceremony in Fayetteville, NC. If you are familiar with Indian culture, you know that Indian weddings are complex! We love photographing Indian weddings because everything is SO colorful: dresses, decorations, ornaments, food, and everything else!
Tesh drove early to be on time and was greeted by gracious Gujarati hosts. What can be better to start a shoot than a real cup of Chai! And a Gujarati dish made with beaten rice was for the breakfast- yum! Really spicy, which was a good thing after being up all night with allergies! Nothing can open up sinuses quicker than a bite of green chile!
The ceremony was to invite peace and good things to groom’s home and drive out any evil. Things happen quickly during the ceremony- and Tesh has a benefit of being multi-lingual! Tesh’s native language is Gujarati which definitely helped.
The ceremony was followed by the lunch. The Gujarati food is very different from typical buffet you find in most indian restaurants. Many of the breads are sweets and sweets are part of the meal! A typical plate will include a variety of items that are steamed, fried, spicy, sweet, sour and so on. Delicious!
We shot the ceremony with a combination of zoom and prime lenses and available light as well as flash. We have kept all the images in color to show the richness of the ceremony and celebration.
We are professional photographers that will capture any event for you! Weddings & Events, Portraits, Corporate, Commercial and more. We would love to hear from you.
