The grand finale! The reception was also held at the Grand Marquise Ballroom in Garner (NC). Le Reve Creations transformed ceremony venue into a beautiful ballroom. The Surati folks know how to party! Check out some of the fun photos! DJ Rang had folks dancing until the party ended. There were speeches, laughter and dance performances. Very Bollywood like!
I used the break between ceremony and reception to download and preview ceremony photos. I also setup the lights. There was just enough time at end of the ceremony to capture group photos of the immediate family. So, there were many group photos to capture at the reception. The Ballroom has high ceilings. So, setting up the lights for both the group photos and dance floor was a challenge. My solution was to use high-key lighting.
As with other events, I captured many candid images. At wedding receptions, one of my favorite moment to photograph is the first dance. When my assignment ended, it was close to a seventeen hour day, with a little break in between! I enjoyed photographing Mitali and Viru. I thank Patel family and Prashant Video productions for giving me the opportunity to be photographer of this elaborate wedding.
I have couple of Indian weddings to photograph next month. The next wedding has outdoor ceremony, which is a change from indoor ceremonies I have photographed lately. The ceremony will take place at the Landmark gardens in Garner (NC). And the reception will be at the Grand Marquise Ballroom. Both venues are beautiful. I look forward to capturing outdoor portraits at the garden…
