Sneha and Ashu’s beautiful Indian wedding ceremony at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh NC! I had photographed their Sangeet previous night. The ceremony was early in the morning and included a small pre-wedding ceremony. Mica worked with me as a second photographer and assistant. DJ Rang and Dholi Jeetu provided the music for baraat. Manju Nigam of Blooming Buds provided the decoration for the ceremony. Cinematography was by Imagique.
Mica and I started early in the morning. We photographed pre-wedding, decorations and then bride and groom getting ready. I captured the baraat while Mica continued to work with Sneha. Sneha looked beautiful!
The ceremony was outdoors. We are having one of the hottest year on the record, but, it was one of the coolest day so far! Prayers worked! Ashu arrived with his baraat on a horse-drawn carriage. Baraat was served breakfast. The ceremony was traditional South Indian ceremony. Many layers in the ceremony with every ritual having religious and marital significance. This ceremony had two photographers (Mica and I), two cinematographers, and even two priests! Why not! The ceremony was beautiful. There was singing by the family members. Many rituals on the swing. The bride and groom left to change outfits during the ceremony. The cooler weather made it so much fun to capture all of this. We did a very short family and couple sessions at the end of the ceremony.
The lunch was served and included many of my favorite items! That was a good treat! It was back to work for me after the lunch. Time to download and backup the images and then get ready for the reception. The party! One of the most fun I have photographed recently…
