It is an honor to photograph a mitzvah- such a special occasion for the family! We had photographed sister Ayla’s Bat Mitzvah two years ago, so, it was even more special photographing brother Ari’s Bar Mitzvah! We started the day with portrait session at the Temple Beth Or. The temple is beautiful! The lighting cane a challenge inside so it was a good thing to carry our own lights. We did many formal and some fun portraits. After the portrait session, I went to the Embassy Suites Brier Creek where the party was scheduled to take place. While Mica stayed back to do a video of the ceremony. Lately Mica has become my trusted videographer and has done several events for me, including weddings.
Ari’s family had done a great job decorating the Embassy suites ballroom. Ari is a swimmer so the theme was marine! We had done Ari’s portrait session in our studio, few days before the mitzvah. One of the fun image was Ari wearing his swim goggles and flippers and jumping with the joy! This image was the featured image at the party! And it was great working with DJ Damien Maass again! A great DJ makes the party! The party started with cocktails. There were games of kids and Elevate Dancers had kids dancing soon. There was a blessing over the bread and wine. The food was served. The candle ceremony was special! And the horah was fun! I think Ari and his Dad enjoyed being up in the air! Not so sure about Mom and Sister!
The guests enjoyed the party! It was time for me to head to Charlotte where I was scheduled to photograph Bhumi and Viren’s Indian wedding next day. I look forward to posting those beautiful images next…
