The second event I photographed for Tina and Divakar’s beautiful Indian wedding was Tina’s vidhi (pre-wedding ceremony). The vidhi included religious and social rituals. The vidhi was held at Tina’s home in North Raleigh. The vidhi took place indoor, as well as outdoor under a tent. Some of the social rituals took place outside in the direct sunlight. You have to work quickly and hopefully push the right buttons! During the vidhi, I also met Divakar for the first time. The vidhi was followed by lunch. Another home-made treat which I missed as I was off to photograph Heather and Nate’s wedding at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh. Tina’s Sangeet was held at Haveli restaurant in Morrisville. My associate photographer Matt Williams photographed the Sangeet. And then it was time to get ready for the big day- ceremony at the Hall and Gardens at the Landmark and Reception at the Grand Marquise Hall in Garner!
I am posting this blog from St. Petersburg in Florida. I am here on both photography and video assignment for the Lotus Survival Foundation. Lotus Survival Foundation is holding the first retreat for Breast Cancer survivors. My wife Mica and I travelled from Raleigh with a group of cancer survivors over the weekend and will be here until Thursday. This is an amazing experience, which I have shared via couple of previous posts. I urge you to visit Foundation’s website to learn more: http://www.lotussurvivalfoundation.org. This is a young foundation (barely a year old) founded by Claudia Aguirre. This foundation needs your help…
